No Mega Tesco: Public Meeting Monday, 28th September @ 7.30pm
Filed: 27.09.2009

The campaign against Tesco's plans to set up camp in a massive 140,000 sq foot in Lancashire County Cricket Ground is gaining momentum with a public meeting 28.09.2009 at Gorse Hill United Church entrance on Wesley Street just off A56 / Chester Road in Gorse Hill, postcode M32 0GL.

Trafford Greens have been out leafleting the area to raise awareness of the threat this proposal poses to small local businesses, as well as the likelihood of severe traffic congestion and the response from local people has been determinedly opposed to Tesco's plans.

There will be a speaker from a previous, successful campaign against what was seen as Tesco's attempt to invade and obliterate another neighbourhood centre, as well as the chance to organise and plan for the fight ahead. All are welcome, so please come along.

Check our blog www.traffordgreens.blogspot.com for updates and find out more information about the background to the campaign here http://nomegatesco.blogspot.com.
